About the Hot Sauce House Concert Series

Hot Sauce House Concerts presents talented musicians in an intimate, relaxed setting. The concert audience usually consists of 25 to 35 people who gather in our living room in Poolesville, Maryland.

Because of this friendly setting, guests can socialize with musicians before the concert and during intermission as well as meet new and interesting fellow guests.

While these concerts are officially by-invitation-only for legal reasons, you can send Kay an email if you’re interested in attending. She’ll be in touch and answer any questions you might have.

Those who are allergic to cats should note that we have several cats, though they generally make themselves scarce during performances. We do a thorough vacuuming and dusting beforehand, but those who have severe allergies may want to take this into consideration.

How can performers inquire about playing at a house concert?

Sorry, but we are not actively seeking musicians to play at our house concerts at this time. We only host about four to six concerts a year, and usually, we contact artists from a "wish list" that we've compiled over the years. We don't book musicians that we haven't already seen perform live.

About Us

Jack is a materials scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Kay is a retired community college teacher. We have enjoyed hosting these events since 2012. Recently we hosted our 27th house concert in March 2019.
